The project involved the refurbishment of C Block at Eastleigh College including a new dining facility and kitchen at ground floor level, new training kitchen and classroom at first floor level, and widened corridor between to A and C Blocks. The works also include a small extension incorporating a new rear entrance / reception lobby, canopy and new security office. The works included alterations to the existing LTHW heating, Gas, domestic waters services, and above ground soil & waste systems.
This project presented a number of difficult situations to overcome as the college has extended opening hours for adult learning. Sixty percent of the project had to carried out whilst Eastleigh college was open so services alterations took place in pre-planned out of hours shut downs. With close communication between the client and site team the project achieved practical completion in September 2015.
